Crystal Crusade

Day 6. All the crystal.

Upon leaving the Waterford Castle, we got to meet the mayor of Waterford city. It was quite interesting to hear how town politics work in another country.

After that, we had some time to explore the city. That meant admiring the famous Waterford crystal in the stores. There was the official store, which displayed precocious and ornate crystal figures.

Ahh yes, let me just pull out my change.

Afterward, we went on a tour of a medieval museum in Waterford. That was pretty neat. They had relics of Christa church and of English kings, which included the last piece of clothing of Henry the eighth.

After quickly catching lunch, we were on our way to Cork. We stopped in Kinsale. It was a quaint waterfront town with any shops. Including this coffee shop that I loved. With the BEST mocha I've ever had. REAL dark chocolate. Mm mm.

Sadly, there was no pot of gold at the end of that rainbow. Lucky charms lies. All lies.

Finally, we got to cork, the second largest city in Ireland. And County Cork is the largest county, both population and area-wise in Ireland. Our hotel is in the heart of the city, with a waterfall out our window. Good thing trickling water doesn't make me have to constantly go to the bathroom.

Hopefully these next few days will be more relaxing. :)

Cheers,

Kelli
